Ketodexa – for quick relief of acute pain

If acute pain conditions occur, it is very important to ensure a quick analgesic effect. For this reason, the pharmaceutical company Astrapharm produces the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) Ketodexa, which demonstrates a rapid onset of action, good tolerability and a strong safety profile during short-term treatment.

Dexketoprofen, which is an active substance of Ketodexa, is a derivative of propionic acid, that reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins due to inhibition of cyclooxygenase. All this leads to rapid analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.

Clinical indications for the use of Ketodexa are various types of mild and moderate pain:

• musculoskeletal pain;
• painful periods (dysmenorrhea);
• toothache, etc.

The onset of the analgesic activity of dexketoprofen trometamol is obtained at 30 minutes post-administration. The analgesic effect persists up to 6 hours.

Ketodexa comes in film-coated tablets, that contain 36,9 mg of dexketoprofen trometamol, which is equivalent to 25 mg dexketoprofen.
